Supervisors’ 60/60 Training Program

The DOT Alcohol and Drug Testing Regulations require a minimum of 60 minutes of alcohol and 60 minutes of drug awareness training for supervisors of safety-sensitive employees.

This two-video set will bring your supervisors into compliance. This package is ideal for on-site new and recurrent training.

Video 1: “Substance Abuse and Constructive Confrontation”

This video will teach the supervisor signs and symptoms of substance abuse and how to determine reasonable suspicion.

  • Highlights the training elements required by the DOT.
  • Addresses the information necessary for an effective substance abuse program.
  • Explains how not enforcing a substance abuse policy jeopardizes the company as well as the public and employee safety.
  • Covers physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of probable drug use.
  • Features in-depth training on how to handle employees who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Eight case scenarios show how, when, and why to confront employees, using the four steps of constructive confrontation.

Video 2 : “Alcohol Supplement”

This video presents:

  • Donna Smith, Ph.D., providing an overview of the rules.
  • Five action scenarios, based on the five types of testing to stimulate supervisor awareness of what the rules require.
